Frequent questions and answers

Can I delete my account?

No, because there isn’t one to delete. All your data stays on your device - nothing is sent to us, and we never have access to it.

Is my data safe?

The Dad Journal stores your data on your device. If backups are enabled — iCloud on iPhone or Google Drive on Android — it will be restored when you switch or recover devices. Without backups, the data stays only on your current device.

Will there be a version for tablets?

Yes. The Dad Journal for iPad (and other tablets) is planned for release in 2026.

Can I take my data with me if I decide I’m done with the app?

Absolutely. You can export everything you’ve created - entries and media included - as Markdown files. Open them in any Markdown editor you like (we test with Obsidian). Just head to Settings → Export to Markdown and you’re good to go.
